Anyone else running the Rekluse on their bike?Putting the finishing touches on my new bike and am thinking of ordering the Rekluse. I know I would love having it for the Summer riding trips to Utah and Mammoth where there is a lot of single track- Not sure I would use it much in the dez.Anyone else running one?

I've had one on my 450X for 3 years and LOVE it. it's the z start pro, previous version to the EXP. One drawback is no bump starting and it takes some getting used to on slow downhills but just blip the throttle and it engages, it only disengages at idle. My next addition is going to be the left hand rear brake for those really nasty tight or bulldog downhills as you can't "drag" the rear wheel at walking speeds.Besides that it GREAT! One fun thing to do is brake slides into turns, you cannot stall (assuming everything is set up correctly). And for tight single track its a blast.Hope that helps, PM me for more info. and to tell me where you find single track in Mammoth, I know where in Bishop but not "up the hill".

Man.... those things rock!! I don't have one on my CRF 450 R but my buddy does it really makes it easier to ride in tight areas without clutching it all the time. You just have to have it adjusted right! It saves you on the arm pump too. It's a bit different on down hills because your not engine braking as much but you'll get used to that.

Cool-Will have it tomorrow. Will report back after I try it. Thought about ordering the rear brake at the same time but think I will try the clutch first and then decide. Love the idea of a rear brake lever and backing it into the corners... :)

I have the original z-start on mine and the left hand rear brake.....love the brake...the original z start did not have the option of a normal working clutch lever and I miss that some times when you want to slip the clutch quickly for a little more power or get the front wheel up. The only reason I keep it is the LHRB I love that for the nasty down hills and for regular use.

They won't develop a kit for a bike not in production. You might be able to adapt an ATV auto clutch. Chris Real (sound guru) put together a kit that adapted an ATV electric starter to an XR 400 a few years ago, all OEM parts so it might be doable. Maybe find a wrecked ATV for cheap (he works for Honda so did it all with new stuff). Finished the project 3 months before the 450x hit the market!

I checked it out, no xr stuff. Crf, or cr. like to try one out some day and see if it makes a difference. I have three older xr's so kinda pick one for the area I think I will ride, but could see how this makes a bike nearly unstoppable.

I have not worn out the plates in my rekluse and have about 5000 miles on them, again I do have the older original one, they should have improved with the new designs.

My bike is a 2005 with the original clutch. Added the Rekluse in about 2008.

I think they last!

It saved my bacon a few times this last Saturday in The Spanglers on some NASTY hill climbs.

They say it lasts just as long as a traditional clutch- based on the quality of the components, packaging, directions, their online tutorials... I believe them.

I buy a lot of******and it takes quite a bit to impress me- I hpe some of my customers are as happy with our products and services I was with this purchase.

Lastly- I have also found nothing but good things said about Rekluse. The first generation came out quite a while ago and there are a lot of guys still using them after years of heavy use. Plus- they are in Idaho- always nice to support an American entrepreneur.

Bought a KTM SXF 450 Factory Edition a couple months ago-
Coming from a Honda 450R I sure enjoy the electric start. :)

fly-boy - What bike? I've got 7 years on my 2007 YZ-450 factory clutch, if it ever goes out I want to replace it with the Rekluse.
