I also know someone with a Cedar Creek, and they are still really happy with it.

I am wondering if the SRW truck will be strong enough for your fifth wheel plans. The trucks do come with much higher GVWR than in 2000, however you are looking at fifth wheels that might be in the 3000 pound pin weight range.

That said, you can always pick up a towing guide from the local dealers, and get to know the capabilities of the trucks.
