Roof Replacement

My 2006 Sunnybrook 37' Fifth Wheel rubber roof is in need of replacement. Is there more than one practical option and what cost should I expect?
  • You're in FL. So good for you.
The Home Depot sells the product you need only in FL.
    I used it.
I had a guy come out and do it to replace all the stuff on top and coat it.
    Its Lanco brand.
    Buy the premium.
Goes on Blue and dries White.

    Spent months exposed.
Then dry storage for last 1.5 years.
I rinsed off and recoated it a couple weeks ago and brought it to FL April 15.
    Roof looks brand new.
If you need a pro, I still have the RV Repair guys info.
    He is out of Orlando.

6-9 thousand bucks for your size.

    FE
  • Used EDPM coatings 3 years ago. 6 gallons for 27 foot at $65.00 gal. No more black streaks. No maintenance
  • Go to the Lanco Coatings website and look at some of their elastomeric resurfacers specifically designed for EPDM. Not cheap. but good stuff.

P.S available at Home Depot or Menard's.
  • EPDM coating or Wal Mart EPDM I used a EPDM roll on coating from Home Depot (Henry brand)for a 1/3 of my roof repair. That was 10 years ago and still no leaks. Here in the Southwest 10 years of rain is not very much of a test but 10 years of sun is more than average :B

It is time to re-coat though since I have a few gouges in the material.
  • I went the 'Liquid Roof' path 2 years ago and have been very happy with it. If you make no new roof penetrations it needs almost no maintenance. I weighed the cost of having a new roof installed against having to maybe re-apply the liquid rubber in 5 years and opted for the liquid version. So far, no regrets.
  • At least one OEM offers as an option a spray on using bed liner spray on material.
Cost? For a normal rubber roof about $150.00 a foot
