I spent most of my life (off and on) as a residential contractor. Did a lot of climbing and never experienced a fall (knock on wood).
I currently do not hesitate to get on my roof whenever needed. But I realize that the day is coming when I will need to hire someone to do it for me. When on a roof, no matter if it is a house, apartment building, or RV, you just can't be distracted. You have to pay attention to what you are doing!
