The spray on roof sounds like the best idea. It sounds to me that most repair shops only glue the edge of the roof down. If the roof is floating up it's only a matter of time before something hits it and it tears, how many time have you hit a bird driving down the road.
I'm sure there have been several low limbs hanging over the road as well and if it's billowing when I hit one, I would think it would be more prone to tear than if it just scraped but neither are good. I am amazed at how many limbs hang over the road that appear low enough to hit and I think ARE hit here in Alabama. The big rigs don't have to worry about damaging their trailers but it also seems like they would be keeping the limbs at bay for us littler guys. I don't know about the rest of the country, plus it's worse on two lane roads near camping places/parks.
The spray on roof sounds good and I'm going to let them scare me with an estimate at least.
