A buddy of mine is an ex-cop. He's mentioned on another forum that something seems really fishy with the whole setup. Almost to the point that it seems staged.
It certainly has the internet all atwitter with discussions and links to their video/channel. More subscribers = more watch time = more revenue.

Why not? I wouldn't put doing anything past some of those Youtubing boob clowns in their quest for views. That truck is at best a 2006, might be worth $17K at most, probably less. You can get a used bed and tailgate for around a grand and if you can shoot paint about another $400 in materials would have her fixed right up.
