There are a handful of threads here over the past 10 years of B&W owners who suffered a dropped fiver. Even one where a B&W hitch head separated from the base on a RV roll over. That last one was dismissed as a “Safety Feature”.
I think the B&W is a fantastic made in America product. But in the end it’s a mechanical device designed and built by people.
And that is the real problem...people, the operators. Most of the problems would go away if newbies would read their owners manuals and follow them. But, if that were the case nobody would have anything to chat about.
