when I was first shopping for a RV I looked at/sat in one of these toyotas. when I was discussing buying a rv with my BIL who was quite knowledgeable, the first words out of his mouth were, " I hope you aren't considering a Toyota". :)

Don't know where it was built, Bumpy. But I bought it when I was living in the Los Angeles area. The model year was somewhere in the 70's. It was quite unusual looking (I called it "the pumpkin"). The engine was a 4 cyl (I think it was designated 20R, a popular engine at the time).
