RV tires on cement
We are permanent campers and just had a pad poured. What is the best thing to use to put between the tires and Cement? Would those plastic blocks at camping world be strong enough for year round use?

- It makes no difference.
IF.....the tires sit with the full weight of the trailer on them for 24 months or more, exposed to the elements and never moving......they will be JUNK anyway.
It would be better to jack the trailer up and block it so the tires are NOT the support points anymore.
Even then, after about 4 years the tires won't be good for anything except maybe moving it to a different parking spot in the same park. - Hi.. seem to me that it would be okay to park on the concrete. I think the rig ahold be moved some times so the tires will not get a flat spot... Jim2007.

- We all know it is best for the tires, to give them a regular workout. If you move it once in a while, IMO, it won't matter if they are on plastic or cement. If you don't plan to move it at all, keep them covered, but they will age out anyway.
Jerry - Even though some people might not understand why,it has always been said that the chemical make up of concrete can react with the chemical make up of tires, and that wood is the best thing to have under your tires.

Yes, I do store batteries on concrete. I have done it on wood, too.
I have seen absolutely no discernable difference.
The question the OP asks brings a totally different answer than a yes or no to concrete. The right answer, since he is going to park permanently on the concrete pad, is to take all the load off the tires or take the tires off completely. Just block it so it is level, which leads to a different how-to question.
