RV toilet

We have an Aqua Magic Aurora toilet in our 5th and it has given flush problems off and on since it was new. I've replaced the water valve once and put seal kits in it three times. It has started leaking the water and it won't close the slide once again so I am looking to replace with another. Which is better an Aqua Magic with the slide valve or a Dometic with the ball? Kind of leaning to the Dometic since the slide on the Aqua Magic has given so much problems. Anyone have problems with the Dometic? I lubed the slide and seals on the Aqua Magic with Plumbers Silicone grease on a regular basis and still have problems. Thanks for your help(opinions)

  • Go for the Tecma Silence Plus......no running, leaking or trouble....
  • I had a dometic in a born free it was a pain, bought a complete rebuild kit , sat on the ground and went to it, its never failed after that. I think that the assemblers get things out of wak . sometimes and just send them down the line.
  • I replaced our Aqua Magic IV toilet last year. Before deciding on which toilet to buy, I Googled "toilet name reviews" for each toilet to get an idea of others experiences. While every toilet had some negative reviews, I finally settled on the Aqua Magic Style II. One of the main reasons is that a look at the Parts diagram indicated that this one would be easy to repair, if it became necessary. I recall that one other toilet I looked at (can't recall which) was not user repairable.

Two trips so far totaling 3 weeks duration and we really like this toilet.
