I do know that at lower speeds like 55 to 65 trucks with 410 gears or even 430 have better MPG than mine with 373 gears, its when you break that 2000 RPM mark that the fuel efficiency really starts to drop on a diesel, I think even though mine feels like it has plenty of power its always under a load with the 373 gears
