Sailun S-637

So I want to get these E rated tires off my new Mountaineer and go with a G rated tire. I had the G-614's on my last 5er but these Sailun tires are getting some good talk... What's up with these tires... Anyone with any bad experiences with these?? I like the Goodyear's but not the price. Thanks

  • I put Sailun S637 on my Mountaineer over 2 years ago, have about 8000 miles on them and they look like new, never had the first problem. I'm not sorry that I bought them.
  • I have a set on my triple axle toyhauler and am very happy with them so far. They've been on there for about 2 years. I've not put very many miles on them so far, but I'm looking forward to many miles of good service.

I agree with n7bsn, but these are not a cheap tire, just lower priced than the Goodyear G-series tire. If you want cheap you buy the 16 inch ST tires, now those are cheeeaaap, and in those cases, you get exactly what you pay for!

What we are paying for is a 100.00 dollars more PER TIRE for insurance on a G614 , compared to the Sailun, thats four or five hundred more depending on buying a new spare. I already have insurance for damage if a tire comes apart . I don't want or need any more insurance.

I am currently running the G614's ,when the time comes it will be S-637 . The Goodyear prices are getting ridiculous , and the Sailun are getting better reviews then the Goodyear ever did, probably their ridiculous prices to cover the damage they inflict.
  • Never used them personally, but price tends to follow quality. Cheaper tires are often "cheap" quality also.
  • Have had one G-rated Sailun on my Hitchhiker II for a year and 12,000 miles. No problem of any kind so far. It's an LT tire, but "for trailer use only".
