You have 7k axles. The tires should be at least the axle rating, IE over 3500 lbs each. If the factory felt they could get by with 6k axles (what the ribs match) they would have done it. Don't go by your RV weight, actual or rated.
So,I agree 100% with you, BUT...just a simple math "thing, IF I were loaded to 20K, and pin weight was, lets say, 3800#, 20,000 -3800 =16,200# to be supported by 3042# weight rated tires X 6 = 18,168#, which could easily handle 16,200# , right? I mean the truck is going to carry 3800-4000# of the 5er...If I run tires to cover the axle weight rating, that would mean those 3 axles could handle 21K all by themselves and I could add another 4 K for the pin weight, making GVW 25K, BUT the Jayco's GVW is only 20K...so the math doesn't add up...SOOO, E rated tires would handle 18,168# of total GVW of the TH...and there wont be that much on the axles, more like 16, 200#,..and I have NO toys..just nice extra space.
