The OP trailer would have been find with LT235/85R16E steel ply tires like the Sailun running 80 pounds inflation. The LRG at 80 pounds has the exact same carrying capacity as the LRE of 3042 pounds, which is well over his actual axle weights.

What he should have used isn't the discussion.
My RV trailer has 5.2k axles and around 2300 lb load per tire so no I wouldn't use a 3750 lb rated tire on my 5th wheel RV trailer.
I also would never again run/ruin a load G tire at 80-85 psi in a trailer position.
