satelite
I have a standard direct tv setup with the dish, if I switch to an direct HD one will it be more difficult to locate the satelite's than the standard dish?

The short answer is yes, it is somewhat more difficult. The long answer is, it does not have to be harder. With the right tools locating the correct dish settings and then fine tuning to the correct satellites can be pretty easy. First off I use dishpointer on my smart phone to find the correct parking place for the antenna. Then I set the angles required on my align a site to rough aim the dish. Next I connect my birdog to help me lock in peak signal.
