- ScottGNomadNO!!! That is just a money maker for them.
If you reallywant it you can buy that junk from any auto-body supply place for about $30/gallon. - 1492Moderator
- HalmfamilyExplorerNo way would I spend money on an overpriced wax treatment, same with an interior "Scotch Guarding". Give your unit a good yearly waxing and it will stay looking like new. Wash it regularly as well.
- B_O__PlentyExplorer IINEVER! You can get the same thing with a bottle of Nu-Finish, Simoniz Ice or one of many other polymer based polishes. Dealers make huge profits on this.
B.O. - Madfun119ExplorerThanks all. That's what I figured. This is our first fiberglass unit and just wanted to make sure.
- Super_DaveExplorerCan you give the name of the sealant being offered? The 10 year sealant applied to my SUV when purchased new has been wonderful. Fiberglass units can oxidize/fade from UV pretty easily. I'd be interested to know if you are being offered a wax or a permanent sealant. If it is the permanent sealant, I would highly recommend it.

Your SUV is painted, most likely with a base/coat clear/coat product. A fiberglass RV is much different. Paint sealant or not your SUV will not be affected by staying out in the Sun. Just running it through a car wash and getting their "Hot Wax" application will make your SUV look exactly the same. I have an auto dealer background and I know we made huge money on this "paint sealant" scheme.
