Need your help with this one-on our last trip, the bedroom pocket door bottom latch (built into the door) failed on our heavy door. At the end of a 100 mile trip, the lower latch mechanism failed and we found the door partially open, off track and jammed. Was able to get it onto the track again and fortunately since it has a large glass insert, that was not broken.I am looking for a way to secure the door better. The lower latch fits into a cutout hole and is supposed to hold the door in place for travel but it failed. Replacement of that latch is not likely as I do not trust it and the door would need to be removed. At the top of the door, it has a vinyl strap secured with two snaps but that was no match for the heavy bedroom door.To complicate matters, lining the opening is a molding on each side of the cutout where the door recesses into the wall so whatever I replace it with must span the height of the molding which is about 1/4".Let me hear your ideas and if you have a link to a product, please add that to your post.

What about an adjustable tension curtain rod? One at the top and another midway down.Fancy rodThey could possibly be used as clothes/ towel rods some place else when not in transit.Safe travels, Brenda

On my door I use a rubber door wedge/door stop. I just stick it down between the plastic strap and the door, stops movement so door cant move, works for me.

A small cup hook in the wall on each side and the shortest available Bungee.

With a fully recessed door, then maybe you can use a latch that extends across the face of the door from wall to wall. Maybe one of these simple bar latches.

Most of the dimensions are in mm rather than inches, but the largest (BLT-120) should span a wall-to-wall distance of about 2-3/4 inches, which should be sufficient.

We had a 2007 Fleetwood Quantum. We also had all kinds of problems with the door. We had the plastic strap to hold the door in. It would come off the track and finally just got so missed up and we could not get it back on track and could not get it back into the pocket. Took to the shop and told them to just remove the door, and we would go without. It was very heavy and way to heavy for what it was made for. I don't know another solution. They are too heavy for the track. Finally went to a Cameo and got rid of cheap work.

Took to the shop and told them to just remove the door, and we would go without. It was very heavy and way to heavy for what it was made for. I don't know another solution. The spring tension curtain rod like Can-AmDuo mentioned works great for us. You can get them in various lengths. We put ours at the very top where the track is and it's never fallen off yet.
