Self-leveling electric stabilizers - NOT Lippert

I recently had a small snafu exiting a parking lot where the tail end of my camper drug while pulling out onto the road. Pretty well destroyed my rear electric stabilizers. I've never felt the Lippert ones did a great job and was thinking of some kind of replacement.

Does anyone know if there is another maker of a self-leveling electric stabilizer (other than Lippert)?

I have found the Stromberg Carlson stabilizers - JHD32
http://www.strombergcarlson.com/product-info/electrical-stabilizer-jack-jhd-32

And I have found the "Ultra-Fab Rear Electric Stabilizer for Trailers and RVs - 32" Lift - 3,200 lbs"
http://www.etrailer.com/Camper-Jack/Ultra-Fab-Products/UF39-941602.html

Both of those are actually the Lippert stabilizer in disguise.

I know that UltraFab has a dual motor stabilizer, but I already have a single switch and the dual motor one is 2 switches:

Any other ideas or ones that I'm missing?
  • This is strictly my own opinion, but I do know if my rear electric stabilizers quit, I would simply put manual ones back on and use an electric drill to raise and lower them. It would be cheaper, and they are much faster in operation, when using an electric drill, than the electric ones.

I've never been impressed with the rear electric stabilizers from day one.
  • That's honestly where I'm starting as a stop-gap measure. I have a pair on their way and should show up tomorrow. For now, I'm just going to set them in place and use them that way.
  • The Ultra fab from e-trailer is a piece of junk. I have met 2 other owners who had problems with them. When mine failed to raise the back for stability it would just grind and would sometimes raise. After opening the gear box I found the drive gear had a 1/16" key that was stripped. Yep, 1/16". Could not remove the key so I use an 18V cordless drill to raise and lower. Saved myself over $400.

For the record-I use my jacks for stabilizing not for lifting.

    fj12ryder-IMO-has the correct answer.

Is that the one with 2 motors or 1?
  • You can buy 2 stab jacks and one heck of a nice cordless drill for the price of those elec stabs. Plus the manual stabs almost never wear out.

Have you looked at BAL jacks?

One motor. Motor is on passenger side. Nut for manual operation is on drivers side.

I follow you on the Prime Time forum.:) I use a different name there.

Yep, that's what I just took off. It is actually not an Ultra-Fab product, it's the Lippert stabilizer. That's what I'm trying to get away from, but I'm not finding that anyone else makes a similar product.
