we winter for 6 months in Az and I always wash the alpenlite when it rains. Problem is it doesn't rain enough. At this time the rain in Az would be a different story.

Unless it's winter, the =real= challenges are 1) being able to remain standing while it's raining sideways and 2) avoiding the lighting and flying tree branches (if not whole trees). :B
