Skylight

Folks,

I had posted earlier about my skylight on my 2015 Keystone that had cracked and was leaking around the edges. I got it off this weekend and they (Keystone) and their brilliant installers had screwed the blinking screws so tight now I know why it failed.

Camping word had skylights for 100 bucks plus but Amazon had the same skylight for 53 bucks. I installed it and it is awesome. I save a couple hundred dollars doing it myself. 1 hour to take it off and 30 minutes to install and caulk it.

  • Nothing better than doing it yourself and knowing it was done right. Unfortunately , many manufactures only care these days how fast they can roll units out the door with a lower skilled workforce.
  • Did you think to document the screw issue with pics and send them to Keystone? Better yet, post them to a Keystone-specific forum. :B

  • Great for you!

The hard part was probably removing all the caulk to get it off. There is satisfaction when you solve a problem and know that it is done right.

    Happy travels!
