I sold My Hitchhiker fiver to the manufacturer a couple of years ago. When the driver arrived to pick it up he checked all 3 of my slides and declared the floors on all 3 were water damaged. I had to take his word because I couldn't check them myself due to a sudden disability. I took care of my fiver very well, always checking for leaks and keeping up with caulking. I never could understand how the floor of a slide-out could be damaged by water since it isn't directly exposed to rain. It would have been nice if thy used marine grade wood, but I guess no manufacturers do that. Anyhow, the company paid only a fraction of what my fiver should have been worth and I still feel I may have been taken advantage of, but I had no choice since I wasn't in condition to take care of it while it sat unattended for months and I realized I wouldn't be living in it again.
