Yes, in retrospect I should have paid a local RV tech to take a look at it but I had just suffered a stroke and wasn't thinking as clearly as I should. Besides, winter had just set in and I didn't want the fiver to be sitting there unattended. I had to get rid of it quickly. I tried first to sell it privately, but was unsuccessful. I don't think I'll be dealing with NuWa products in the future because of this, although I did enjoy my Hitchhiker fiver during my ownership.
I don't think you were taken in, as it's just like selling/trading in a used car. The dealer is likely going to have to make repairs so is only going to offer you a low-ball price since they have to make money on the other end. IF there was any question, a reputable company would have made up some of the difference after they had it in and actually did the work, if it wasn't as extensive as they originally thought. I've never heard anything bad about NuWa but have no personal experience with them.
