slide outs

Question

I have a 2006 Sprinter Copper Canyon fifth wheel and have a slide adjustment problem that i would like to fix myself. top of slide hits camper first and bottom sticks out about and inch, this has caused the side molding of slide to bend out thus causing topper cover to start tearing. last year i had dealer do it and it cost close to $450.00. I do not want to pay that again. any help would be great, or direction to go in. thanks

I have gotten a Lippert slide manual and adjusted slide to the best of my ability but there is an issue with the slide out being top heavy thus causing an on going problem when slide is retracted in, top hits way before bottom and continues to go in when pulling bottom in. looking for some technical feedback on how to approach problem.

I've never seen one that doesn't do that some, and on the way out they also hit top first. Not sure how you could fix both.

Mine does this as well.  Didn't know that wasn't how it was supposed to work.
