I talked to Marty... great customer service!
KZ will do the work for $1k - flat rate. Now all we have to do is travel there this spring. Marty said the sheet of metal is a good idea to make it last until we can get the real fix. KZ has used metal on some slides in the past, so it is a common way to deal with the slide flooring.
