Never once wiped the sides of the slides off when bringing them in in the rain. But then again we never put them out if it's raining. I live in Oregon so our camping is really limited. Sometimes we're packed up and ready to go then it starts to rain, so we just unpack. Very frustrating. I just don't want my slides to get wet. Silly I suppose but I'll never have delam that way.
Enough of the joking around. :) The OP just wants to know if he needs to wipe them off when they are brought in. If you want you can but it's not really necessary. If your built in wipers are working then they should be fairly dry when brought in. Those wide black rubber looking things that are attached to the sides and top of the trailer act as a squeegee. They wipe the sides and top. They aren't that good at it but help some. Main issue is just make sure the top doesn't have debris on it. Depending on how your slides come in you may have a hard time reaching them to dry off.
GoDucks, you had me going on that start! :B
I was worried that you were serious!! :S
