- HalmfamilyExplorerHad this happen on our old FW, it was a bad hydraulic solenoid.
- lj2654ExplorerHalmfamily above is spot on.....^
- BurbManExplorer IIYou should get some of these slide out safety bars. Our TT has the 13' super slide with motorized rack and pinion mechanism. Mfr provided two of these bars and they are supposed to be used during travel to take the stress off the mechanism. Without these bars, the mechanism is the only thing securing the slide in the closed position.
These pictured are adjustable and you can get them at any of the online RV parts places. Ours were premeasured and the owners' manual said to install about halfway from floor to ceiling. - wvcampersExplorerIf the slides are hydraulic you probably have one of the rams leaking internally. This will allow the pressure to leak off and the slides will come out. There will not be any fluid loss. Lippert has a trouble shooting guide. My Cardinal was doing the same thing, I changed the ram on the living room slide and all is well.
- PeteHalstedExplorerThanks for the tips. I found the trouble shooting guide for the hydraulic system at https://www.lci1.com/assets/content/support/manuals/om-hydraulic-slide-out-web.pdf
I believe/hope my issue is just air in the system based on the guide. We had a failed hose in Tulsa last week. At this point I believe all the hoses have been replaced. The OEM hoses are not very good quality at all.
I will go through the steps in the guide to test the system for internal leaks in the Rams and to bleed the system. We are here for a month, so won't know if we still have issues until we get on the road in November. - Gib3633ExplorerYou didn't mention the brand of trailer. Our Montana did that with one slide as well. Inside the control panel where you extended the front jacks there were 4 shut off valves, one for each slide. I found if you closed them after closing up that took care of the problem. You may or may not have that option.
