Solid counters

Looking at a Jayco that has an option for solid kitchen counter tops. My question is, is it worth the $1,000+ cost and the small weight penalty? I can think of other options I'd rather have for that grand. :-)

Whether it is worth it or not is completely up to you, but I think you already answered your own question.
  • Not sure you will find it cheaper, but if you like solid surface counters and their potiential drawbacks, then go for it. After 10 years ours still looks good.
  • For that less than that price, you could find a custom counter top contractor to furnish and install Corian or any other solid surface of your choice. It's not much square footage of counter top in these rigs. Good luck!
