South Dakota License Plates
Can anyone give me any info on the procedure to get South Dakota license plates. Talked to the tax collector in Custer County and she acted like I was bothering her. Thanks Rick

The SD mail forwarding services are only necessary if you use SD as your domicile (with SD Driver's License).
SD had no problem mailing VEHICLE registration to an address in another state.
However, you MUST have a SD address for Driver's License - that's why the mail forwarding services are necessary.

Another poster "GandG" confused SD residency and/or vehicle registration with *Montana* LLCs.
There are *NO* SD LLCs for vehicle registration!
Besides SD, many full-timers use Escapees in Texas for most/many of the same reasons.
Both states are very full-timer friendly.
