Saw the other similar post but I am actually asking about space heaters for the garage. I have 2 boys aged 12 and 9 and a 12 foot garage in my 2014 Voltage with one heat vent. Have not camped with it yet but know it will get cold.What heaters are you guys using for electric space heaters?Thanks

Just a little cube heater from Walmart. It has a very quiet fan.A lot of people like the oil-filled radiator type. Check the current load to make sure you won't blow fuses.Just make sure anything you get has a tip-over cut-off switch, and teach your boys NOT to lay things on it, and where it needs to go.

The oil filled heaters and the cube heaters do a good job.Take your pick. Around kids I would chose the oil filled radiator. ;)

I've come to prefer the shorter oil filled models.The taller models are fine, however the shorter model are a bit more stable simply because they are lower to the ground. Being smaller allows them to be placed in more out of the way locations.The smaller units are more expensive vs. the standard taller more common model.I use 3 oil filled space heaters and avoid using the LP furnace as much as possible. 2 of the 3 are tall and only one is short. I use an oil filled unit when parked at home.I use a cube typefan heater when camping. I think most 15 amp heaters putoutabout the sameamount of BTU's. The oil filled has no moving parts and a built in timer. Fan unit circulates and makes back ground noise. Apples &oranges comparison really

The oil filled heaters and the cube heaters do a good job.
Take your pick. Around kids I would chose the oil filled radiator. ;)
