Spare Tire mtg on Cedar Creek 5th wheel
Looked at my spare tire mount and it sure doesn't look very strong to me. It's under the rear of the camper but the cable extend and retract mechanism looks like it uses two (2) 3/8 sheet metal screws...

I had a similar setup on my Everest FW and I noticed one of the bolts had sheered off when I went to replace the spare recently. They aren't even hardened. I now carry the spare in the bed of the pickup until I can find a replacement hanger.
