- goin2themountaiExplorerOK sports fans. Useful square footage of my 5er or my stick home has always stymied me. We're not dumb. I have a Master's Degree. The more we know, the more complex it becomes. Of course I can measure square footage for flooring I need. Living space with slideouts becomes another question. Sure, I can use the Pythagorean Theorem to measure what roofing material I have for my stick home. While I know my 5er is 40 feet long and can multiply my width to give me a total square footage, that's not useful in my living space, or the exact number of people I need to throw out before ascertaining bed space by alcohol levels. We all have space questions, and it's unfair to judge what those are without being the one to ask.
- CopperlisaExplorerI think the OP was asking two questions in reality...LIVING SPACE, and SQUARE FOOTAGE. As others have said, sq footage is a fairly logical math problem of L*W. Good for figuring amount of sealant needed for roof repairs, etc. Living space, however, needs to include slides, and needs to subtract cupboards, closets, bath, etc. You don't realize how much you actually lose to those things until you add it up.
As a relative newbie on this forum, I find it really sad to see how rude some of the members are to others, especially newbies. It makes me not want to hang out, and I've learned some really good things from people. What happened to common courtesy and being nice?

- Bim_BimExplorerTo 2oldman,
No need to make a rude comment. asking for square footage has nothing to do with knowing basic math. it has something more to do with a car crash I sustain 3 yrs ago that prevents me from figuring simple logic. so, do not assume to know what a person is going through in his or her life, or else, you make a ass out of U.yes, I had help with this also. would you like to critique the Spelling and Grammar. sincerely, BimBim - rtazz17Explorer

One opens 42". The other two open 36". Total square footage is 393. Then if you subtract closets, cupboards, pantries, the actual living space is 358 sq. ft.

- BeakerExplorerProbably not much sq. footage in that 2ft. pinbox people are including.
- korbeExplorer8 feet 2 inches = 8.17 feet times 36 feet = 294.12 sf. Looks like 2oldman must of had another dandy comment.
