Not just "feels like", real data.
I realize our DRW is probably overkill by todays truck standards since we just under 17,000 lbs. with our 5th Wheel but having the margin is nice and I have pulled large 5th Wheels with both SRWs and DRWs, the DRW is not a requirement just my preference.
Spreading the heavy pin weight of a large 5th Wheel over 4 rear tires instead of two rear tires IMHO gives me better stability and a smoother ride and less jar when hitting potholes and such in the road.
