I tow a 40' Jayco Eagle Premier with Moride hitch pin with a 2013 GMC 2500HD 4x4 SRW short box. The tow ratings between a 2500 and a 3500 are the same with the exception of pin weight. The RV has a dry weight of 12600 and a pin weight of 2475. Loaded with minimal water storage when towing I added around 1000 lbs and 200 pin weight. The truck has a pin weight capacity or 3000 lbs. I added a SuperSpring which increased pin weight capacity to 4000 lbs with no effect on the ride when am not towing. I can't speak for other brands of trucks or RV's but this combination pulls like a dream.
