St Louis Campgrounds

Any recommended campgrounds in or around St Louis, MO???

Be there in July
  • A bunch of great ideas, thanks a lot. I'll start checking into them. We will be there for the VFW National Convention so the closer to downtown the better. I'll have to check the map but the one with the shuttle sounds very nice.
  • We've stayed at Cahokia RV Parque, 4060 Mississippi Ave., Cahokia, IL 62206 a couple times while visiting St. Louis. Just across the river. I would stay there again.
  • We stayed at the KOA across from Six Flags last summer. It is an older KOA but was very clean, well kept and maintained.
  • Convenient to downtown for seeing the Arch: Casino Queen RV park in East St. Louis, IL right across the river from the Arch. You can see it from the campground. We spent a day there enjoying the wonderful museum, films, ride to the top, and riverboat ride.

They have paved water & electric sites and a check-in store building with modern restrooms, showers, laundry, WiFi. Rate is low, about $25, Good Sam discount given.

Free shuttle by security to the nearby elevated railway across the river, one stop to the Arch. They'll pick you up with a phone call. Will also take you to the casino, of course.

Worked very well for our purposes.
