Not too clear here. You have the "issue" of needing the same sort of tire on each end of the same axle, in conflict with the "issue" of one tire on the same side of the trailer, but on a different axle of course, taking all the weight when the other tire on the same side fails.
To clarify, the tires on either end of the same axle have to be the same, but the tires on the other axle don't have to be the same as that, but they do have to be the same as each other.
OK, so what happens when one tire on one side goes flat? The other tire has to take that one side's whole weight. Does not mean for sure that is one half, because the two on that side might not be the same. Usually they would be the same of course.
Good expert info coming in here and I am learning a lot as I am sure are others. Just trying to keep things straight.
