I see a lot of issues with Towmaster as well as most other ST branded tires and am curious as to how many issues there are with this size and load range. From what I have seen, most of the issues are in the "E" range on larger tires. I am just curious to see if the "D" range tires have such issues.
Thanks,

Curly, my 11,300 GVW FW is placarded for D tires. I lost my first tire on I-17 at Black Canyon City in my 2nd year and < 1,000 total miles. In the 3rd year the other 3 went belly up all at the same time. I replaced with a set of E tires because I'd started reading the fora here and educated myself a bit. Those lasted me almost 7 years before all 4 separated within weeks of each other; none catastrophically, thank goodness. Total mileage on these was < 3,500 miles. I put on a set of Carlisle RH E's in '13 and have < 2,000 miles on them, and they =look= good, so far.
Moral of the story...jump up a rating over the placard, and you'll have a lot more leeway.
