If you are wanting to move away from an ST, but want to remain with your 15" wheels, you might consider a goodyear cargo G26 commercial light truck tire:

yes, we run a set of Transforce on one of the horse trailers ( gooseneck 4 horse slant, about 12,000 pounds typically ). They work well for us. And they don't get babied. I sometimes run them "rather fast" and often times I am in places where I have no choice but to drag the trailer around in a tight circle to get where I need to be. No problems to report.

It will work well but you will need new wheels to go that route.

Tire Replacement

*Maxxis recommends maintaining at least 4/32nds tread depth when the tires are in service. Tires should be checked by professionals at 6/32nds for potential issues. *

Keep in mind the Maxxis ST has only 9/32 of tread depth. This leaves only 5/32" of usable tread....which works for some RVers that don't travel much. Now if your on the road and put thousands of miles a year then a LT with its 14 to 16/32" of tread and a 7+ year replace recommendations works best for other RVers that are on the road a lot or for commercial service trailers.

My trailer came with ST225/75-15 D Marathons on 5200 lb axles. Having hauled commercially I got a belly full of ST tires and their issues.
I sold the 15" wheels and ST tires on CL to a young guy with a lawn service trailer just getting started.
I bought four 16" steel trailer wheels from my equipment trailer mfg and dropped by my Goodyear truck tire dealer and had him mount four 16" LT E BFG Commercial tires on my 11200 lb 5th wheel RV trailer. Ran the first set 55k miles. I'm on the second set with 48k miles/8 years. Zero issues

Toss them and put a good set of LT tires on it. A possible choice is a good year cargo G26 commercial tire. There are others also.

Your tires are nearly 5 years old and they have reached their end of life. Replace them all for peace of mind.
