There are no laws stating what type of tire an individual can or cannot install on their RV. The only requirement is that their capacity must equal or exceed the Gross Axle Weight Rating(GAWR).
Basically, if your GAWR is 6000# or less, the LT tires will do a great job for you. Far outperforming the ST's you want to replace. If your GAWR is higher than 6000#, well then you will need to go with a G rated tire at much more expense.
From looking at what rig you list in your profile, I would bet that the 16" LT tires are a perfect fit.
