I would check with the manufacturer to find out if your slide roof can support your weight. I have a 2015 Cougar that we bought last fall and the Cougar brochure states that the roof and slide out roofs are fully walkable, and yes I have walked on mine with zero issues.
Same with my Bighorn.

Go to the factory sometime. Workers frequently stand on them with no issues at all. It puts no more load on the slide mechanism than somebody standing on the interior floor on one. The roof is usually more than stable enough to to support the load of an averaged sized person.
The interior floor is supported along it's entire length. When fully extended the inside edge of the slide roof is only supported by the interior facica board. - ScottGNomadI would not - it's a qtr inch of wood and 1.5" of styrofoam.

DO NOT STAND OR WALK on a slide out roof! Don't ask how I know. You can replace the seal by opening the slide a foot or so and work off a ladder.
I want to know?
Again, my family has been camping for years and i have worked on and cleaned a number of slide roofs with zero issues. As poster above stated, they even do it at the factory. Just be very safe and watch your footing.
Now, if you are a super sized fella, maybe not. But it can be safely done using sound judgment and common sense. - Cool_CanuckExplorerDO NOT STAND OR WALK on a slide out roof! Don't ask how I know. You can replace the seal by opening the slide a foot or so and work off a ladder.
