- memtbExplorerIt seems you feel about the “fake” fireplace similar to the way we feel about our dishwasher. Our last 4 fifth wheels had dish washers which we never used....they were used for storage! If I had been a good, make that a “real good”carpenter, the washer would have been removed and the space converted to matching cabinetry! memtb
- TXicemanExplorer IIPersonally, I'd rather have the storage space rather than fireplace. A 1500 Watt heater puts out the same heat, is smaller and can be stored in a place much smaller than the fireplace.
we ahve two heat pumps and mostly run them and if the temp drops below 40 degF, we break out two small ceramic heaters. Run one on 1500 Watts and the other on 750 Watts. Keeps the trailer toasty below 30 degF and then we can run the furnace if needed.
Ken - jdc1Explorer IIHave you used the under-bed storage? It's usually a forgotten hole.
- cummins2014ExplorerSometimes it’s necessary to learn how to load these RV’s . Most fifth wheels have a reasonable basement storage I utilize about half of mine, the only time it gets even close to over half full is when I disassemble my inflatable pontoon boat for fishing and have it in there . I started out loaded to the gills , over the years have eliminated a lot of STUFF . It’s surprising what we haul around that’s not needed.
- Two_HandsExplorerThe electric fireplace was what I missed most when we traded in the fiver.
- CA_TravelerExplorer IIIWe use space heaters. Same heat, small and easy to store. Lack of ambience is not important to us.
- Bird_FreakExplorer IIAre you asking for permission?:B If that works better for you it should be easy to remove just take it out and unplug it. We use ours all winter.Saves a lot of propane.
