Stumped by dinette table on new camper

Mine was just like that, just horrible. Ours is also very heavy (solid surface material like the kitchen counters) which makes it even harder to lower. It was so much trouble that we replaced it with a simple wood drop leaf table and chairs.

My husband was finally able to get it down with several tries today. He only had a small amount of bleeding. The video was very helpful except this must be an upgraded table. He has to push the button twice vs the one time shown in the video. He feels sure he can do it again with less blood the next time. We have stopped the bleeding and applied the bandaid. Thanks everyone! I don't think we could have done it without you all.

Yep, that's the type of table legs ours came with. Horrible, horrible idea. It's what they are putting on many of the collapsible tables now. I replaced them with older style legs that you can't even get anymore. Had a very hard time finding them. Sorry, I can't even recall the company I ordered them through, but I know they are/were in Oregon.

We take our table outside when camping, those cantilever legs made doing that a real pain. I eventually had someone make a cedar table for me. Never have to worry about it getting wet now. It's also lighter and stronger than the original table.

Thank you. We did feel like our fingers were in danger. We were surprise it did not have any paperwork with it in the packet. We didn't think to ask. After owning some many campers in the past, we thought it would be the least of our issues .......

Be careful with that finger pinching design! It's really pretty easy once you do it a time or two, but keep your fingers out of the pinch points!

That looks like what we have. We will give it another shot tomorrow. We poked and pulled every thing we could find. It looks simple in the video. Will let you know if we do it. Thanks so much. I am hoping it will be one of those "Duh"moments for us.

We have one of those. Another RV innovation that was obviously engineered by someone who never used an RV.

The table top becomes the support bottom for the dinette bed setup. LAWROSA video sure seems like what it should do on yours. Now that we have seen it work in the video you just have to get to release from frame on the wall side. lift up slightly and pull towards you like LAKNOX says then it may drop down like it is suppose to haha...

The 5th wheel is a 2016 Forest River Flagstaff, Model 8524RLWS. One of the table legs has a little yellow button on it that slides to the left but I'm not sure what to do after that. It just doesn't seem to want to collapse.
