I figured the toilet gasket moved or came loose or something, so I bought a new one and haven't installed it yet and yesterday when I was checking my batteries I discovered that the basement smells of sewer as well! That got me worried and I haven't investigated further but I have to get it fixed...anyone have any idea why the thing was fine until we got home and didn't start the odor until several days later?
We dumped a full tank just before parking it...

It's likely the battery(s). I had the same issue last weekend with a smell under my kitchen sink. When you boil the cells in a battery dry they start gassing off a s sewer smell. I bet the battery(s) are hot to the touch when you touch them also. Check the water level in the battery(s).
