It's time you gave up posting drivel.
No matter how you look at it - YOU screwed up!.:S
Either you bought the wrong brand - or you're incompetent.
Stop sniveling & whining, get out and buy whatever brand of hitch that will make you feel better.....
After your next trip you can complain how that hitch failed you - or how wonderful it is/was!
Whoopee!.:R

Hey guys, its just a forum about a hitch. No reason to take it personally. That being said, I understand that this hitch is a significant investment. As such, people put a significant amount of time and effort into researching it before they take the dive. After that, some are very resistant to any information that is contrary to their initial findings. It suggests that perhaps they did not make a wise decision and as an extension, they are not wise. If you are prone to these type of sensitivities, perhaps internet forums are not for you and you should probably stop reading... Now.
When I spoke with Pullrite they advised me that this is not an isolated incident. The tech stated that this has been known to happen on hitches that were not sprayed with WD-40 “every day of use.” I told him that I was religious about spraying the bars but had forgotten the morning of this incident. He said that was likely the reason for failure. I had towed less than two miles at this point. So according to Pullrite, my hitch failed because I forgot to spray it with WD-40 one morning and pulled my trailer (which was half the rated weight) for 2 miles. There was no debris stuck in the hitch, nothing was loose, and I maintained the hitch very well. I had only used it about 10 times and I always stored it in doors.
