This I'm not sure, I did not pull any of the brakes yet. I bought the unit from my dad, of which they hauled it 1700 miles and used it twice. The brakes seem to work fine so I'm pretty sure the factory is the one that pumped the bearings through the zerk. I did manage to find the Lippert documentation and axle information, their manual says annual inspection of bearings and repack at 36,000 miles. I think this weekend I'll pull an outer wheel bearing off one tire and see what condition it's in. My thoughts are there is no immediate rush to pull everything apart, although I will likely do it later this year anyways to inspect all bearings for rust.
