- garyp4951Explorer IIII agree, once the truck is loaded to the timbrens the ride doesn't give, and beats you to death.
- frankwpExplorerI've had them on 2 vans and a pickup & I hate every minute of having them. The effectively reduce suspension travel & make for a harsh ride. I had them removed & a spring shop install heavier springs, which were better in every way.
I originally installed them because my BIL was a distributor & convinced me that they were great. And they were very good for his bottom line. - CrodadExplorerTimbrens. put them on and forget about them. nothing could be easier.
- EtstormExplorerMight also try roadmaster active
- VeebyesExplorer IIBeing a DRW & well within limits it took a pretty good bump to bottom out the springs. Saw thee Timbrens as an easy inexpensive way to improve what was already decent. They work as advertised. No more bottoming out at all now.
At the other end, when unloaded, a dually being a dually the ride empty can be harsh going over RR tracks & such. About 8 years ago I installed another inexpensive but effective add on. Sulastic shocks at the rear spring hanger. It still reminds us that it is a truck but the empty ride is improved. - jjjExplorerI guess that I am the only one to give up my Timbrens. I would hit a bump and they would rebound hard.I made my own stable loads out of 2inch square tube that are mounted on the leaf spring bump stop brackets. My over loads kick in after about a 3/4 inch drop in the suspension and this truck rides like a car with my 3000 lb. pin weight and the truck rides level and smooth, with the addition of my fifth airbourn pinbox it rides very smooth except for the biggest of bumps.
- 2112Explorer IIAfter hassling with airbags for 6 years, I tried Timbrens. 100% pleased with them. The 1st thing I do when purchasing a new truck is order Timbrens for it.

I put Timbrens in my 2015 Chevy 2500hd and the installation was simple. Lube um up with a little liquid soap and they pop into place with pressure from a pry bar,
why did you have to use liquid soap and a prybar? I just had to pop my front bump stops in then drop them in place and do up the bolts.
Steve - mountainkowboyExplorerSame thing as Stableloads.
- DtaylorExplorerThis is the over spring I was referring to:Over spring
