I've had both and cannot recommend Timbrens. I had inconsistent ride control especially when partially loaded as the suspension transitioned from no Timbren contact to full contact. And unbalanced load or road conditions would have each rear tire reacting different. Air bags (minus compressor) are no more expensive, have more consistent behavior, and can be adjusted for stiffness level as desired. I've pulled a goose neck trailer on a few occasions with manual landing gear and rather than so much effort to raise the trailer 5+ inches, I found it easier to deflate the air bags.
