I went from a 2009 GMC 2500 6.0l gasser to a 2013 6.6l Duramax. Exact same truck except 2013 is 4x4. Mileage went from 6-7 to 12-14 towing same 5vr across I40.
Wow, double the mileage!
Range becomes a real issue when the mileage is in the 6-7 MPG area. When GM had and the 26 gal and Ford the 29 gal tanks in the short boxes it was a double whammie. Chris
My TV has the under 30 gal tank and with the new trailer dropping the mileage to abt 9 I won't be going much over 175 mi before I start looking.
