- NorskemanExplorerSlide awnings and second battery is what we negotiated on. The side awning was already on the RV.
- TXicemanExplorer IIHow many times have I heard from people that walked off only to get a great offer within a day or two.
So do not be shy. Offer what you feel is reasonable, leave your phone number and leave. If the offer was reasonable, you will hear from the dealer if he is hungry.
Ken - jepalmerExplorerKeep saying no, 'till you have to say yes.
Just bought Open Range. Got price from salesman, didn't like it, did some more dickering and thought it wasn't right. About 15 minutes after getting home, I got an offer that got my credit card out to hold the camper....
As always, everything is negotiable. The worst thing that can happen is they say no. Remember, they want to make the deal, not you... - heaterswaExplorerI have seen people negotiate winter parking in the dealers lot.

We didn't bring the three major add-ons we wanted until the final price was agreed to, then we started all over again seeing how cheap we could get the dish, washer/dryer, and G614 tires.
We saved a ton on the tires, just a little on the other two things.
I have mentioned this method of negotiating a price to a few people. They all walked away with GY G tires at no extra cost. - C-BearsExplorerWe didn't bring the three major add-ons we wanted until the final price was agreed to, then we started all over again seeing how cheap we could get the dish, washer/dryer, and G614 tires.

- Heavy_Metal_DocExplorerWhile I agree that nothing is free, there is also always time to add a little something to "sweeten the deal" all the way up till you are ready to sign paperwork. I threw my sales guy a slight curve after we had the "out the door" final price quoted. I told him that the price was pretty good, but wasn't quite good enough. I told him that since we where brand new and had zero RV'n gear, the 50 dollar gift card they offered wouldn't get us nearly enough, so I told them to get me parts / accessories store credit of 1k for all that "fluff" -- chairs, awning mat, leveling blocks. He told me no one had ever asked for that before and he had to get approval from his boss. 5 minutes later where where signing the deal.
Yes, I could have gotten that 1k worth of stuff cheaper at CW, but we compared most of the prices and the small difference was well worth driving out the dealer ready to camp. - mileshuffExplorer

Good Luck
Good advice but generally an RV dealer is going to charge far higher for decent tires that can be found at a local tire shop. I bought my trailer with the China Bombs. I then went to local shop, bought a set of Ribs and sold the China Bombs on Craigslist for $300 for the set. - mileshuffExplorerAs said, negotiate an out the door price which includes price or trailer, dealer documentation fees, prep fees, any other fees the dealer may add. So the only other items would be tax and license fees.
My dealer wanted $650 documentation processing fee. Part of that covers the dealer having to handle registration and licensing with the DMV as it's required by AZ DMV, I can't register it myself. They then had a $350 prep fee. I decided $29,000 was a fair price to pay for the trailer and thats what I negotiated OTD. The paper work showed price of trailer at $28,000 with $1000 in fees for a total of $29,000 which is what I offered.
