Thor won't switch back to AC Power

Hello, I have a 2005 Thor Jazz and ran the generator for a bit and after shutting off the generator the RV won't switch back to AC power. It is running off the 12 volt battery that starts the generator. Does anyone have an idea what I can do to get the AC power back on line? I have had it a few months and no owners manual. Thanks

  • Low AC voltage will keep a transfer switch from operating.
  • Did you check to see if you have power to the shore power cord?
    Are you using an adapter?
Do you have to plug the shore power cord into a receptacle to get power from the genset? If yes, you do not have a transfer switch.
  • Thank you all for the help. I can't seem to locate the switch.
  • Some times you can apply a gentle dose of percussive maintenance to the transfer switch and get the transfer switch to change.

It is probably buried behind the rear wall of basement storage area. If there is no access panel in the wall, you will need to remove the panel.

  • Is this an on-board generator, or (if an external generator) is it running through a transfer switch? It sounds like the transfer switch is stuck in the "generator" versus "shore power" position.
