Tick Control

I'm not sure which forum to ask this question so I apologize if this is the wrong place. This weekend we have seen more Ticks than ever. I am wondering what people do if anything to treat their campsite to protect against Ticks so you may enjoy the outside. We have a Golden and he has been given the Flea and Tick pill but he still carries them in. I have read that Ticks are bad this year but I had no idea how bad. We have been Rv'ing for 3 years and have never encountered the number of Ticks that we have encountered here in one day.
  • Sevin also kills crayfish and other aquatic animals. Ticks are everywhere. My wife looks our pup over everytime he comes in and removes them asap.
  • For years when camping in COE parks with water available at the site, we used liquid sevin from a hose sprayer when we first pulled in.
Sevin dust or spray is neutralized supposedly in 12 hours or so of uv light contact, and we were told it was the most benign thing we could use. Now? Some will tell you not to spill bottled water for fear of contaminants hitting the ground.

FWIW Goof, our Ausum Shepherd has a Seresto collar that has seemed to work pretty well now.
